About MyHealthCalcs
Our mission
MyHealthCalcs provides free, accurate health and fitness calculators so anyone can access the same science-backed formulas used by doctors, dietitians, and trainers — without a subscription, sign-up, or hidden fees.
Health information should be accessible to everyone. Our calculators cover body composition, nutrition, fitness performance, and reproductive health — all in one place, all free.
How our calculators work
Every calculator on MyHealthCalcs is based on established, peer-reviewed formulas used in clinical and research settings. We cite the original methodology for each:
- BMR:Mifflin-St Jeor (1990), Harris-Benedict, and Katch-McArdle equations
- Body Fat:US Navy circumference method and US Army circumference method
- Lean Body Mass:Boer (1984), James (1976), and Hume (1966) formulas
- Ideal Weight:Hamwi, Devine, Robinson, and Miller formulas
- Heart Rate Zones:Classic (220 − age), Tanaka formula, and Karvonen method
- BAC:Widmark formula — the same method used in law enforcement
- Pregnancy Weight Gain:Institute of Medicine (IOM) 2009 guidelines
- 1RM:Epley, Brzycki, and Lombardi equations
Who we are
MyHealthCalcs is an independent website dedicated to making health math simple. We are not affiliated with any medical institution, supplement brand, or fitness company. We do not sell products or services — our only revenue comes from advertising.
A note on accuracy
All calculators provide statistical estimates based on population-level formulas. Individual results will vary. Factors like muscle mass distribution, medical conditions, medications, and genetics affect real-world values.
Our calculators are designed to give you a useful starting point — not a medical diagnosis. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, exercise routine, or health plan.
