Not medical advice
MyHealthCalcs and its calculators do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The results generated by our calculators are estimates based on established mathematical formulas and statistical population data. They are intended to give you a starting point for understanding your health metrics — not to replace a professional evaluation.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider — such as a physician, registered dietitian, certified personal trainer, or other licensed professional — before making decisions about your diet, exercise program, medications, or any other aspect of your health care.
Accuracy of estimates
All calculators use validated formulas from peer-reviewed research, but results are population-level estimates with inherent error ranges. Individual values may differ significantly from calculator outputs due to:
- Individual metabolic differences
- Muscle-to-fat ratios not captured by weight and height alone
- Medical conditions affecting metabolism or body composition
- Medications that influence weight, fluid retention, or metabolism
- Age-related changes not fully accounted for in formulas
- Measurement error in circumference-based methods
Specific calculator limitations
- BAC CalculatorEstimates only. Actual BAC depends on food intake, medications, liver function, and individual tolerance. Never use this calculator to determine whether you are safe to drive.
- Pregnancy calculatorsPredictions are estimates. Due dates, fertile windows, and weight gain targets vary significantly between individuals. Always follow your OB/GYN's specific guidance.
- Body fat calculatorsCircumference methods have ±3–5% accuracy compared to clinical methods like DEXA scanning. Results are not suitable for clinical diagnosis.
- Calorie calculatorsTDEE and BMR calculations are estimates based on averages. Actual needs vary by 10–20% between individuals with the same inputs.
- Heart rate zonesThe 220-minus-age formula has ±10–20 bpm individual variation. Supervised testing is the only way to know your true maximum heart rate.
Emergency situations
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number immediately. Do not rely on any website or calculator for emergency medical guidance.
